Percy House
Grade II* Restoration
Our expert conservation team restored and renovated Percy House, a prominent 18th century building on Tottenham High Road which is the new home of the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. Many original features have been retained such as the 300-year-old staircase that has been restored and painted to its original colours following historical paint analysis. Careful repair work by our craftspeople has ensured many other original features have been restored including cast iron fireplaces with marble surround, wooden shutters and stable doors, wooden flooring, wooden wall panelling and the iconic cast iron gates.
Bringing together the old and the new, the basement has been excavated and partitions installed creating a welcoming training space for the community, and an extension to the rear of the building made from bespoke ‘Paxton’ blue bricks and zinc cladding provides disabled access to all public areas of Percy House via a new entrance and lift as well as new modern bathroom facilities.
